St. Luke's sponsored its fifth annual Spirit Girls' Night Out held at the Chesterfield Double Tree Hotel and Conference Center. Women of all ages were invited to bring friends and celebrate the vibrancy of good health. Jan Hess, Vice President at St. Luke's Hospital, presented the 2012 St. Luke's Hospital Healthy Woman Award to Becky Allmeroth, Kelly Ellison, Julie Harbor and Chris Wilson. The award is given annually as part of a program that recognizes and celebrates women who not only take steps to improve their own health, but also inspire better health in the community. Victoria Babu, of KTRS Radio, spoke about her personal health struggles and encouraged women to limit stress, incorporate healthy foods and get active and be dazzling. Throughout the night, guests were able to select from numerous activities including health screenings, a shopping boutique, pampering sessions and dessert with the doctor for informative answers on a variety of medical topics.
